Massachusetts Go Association (MGA) is a Boston club dedicated to pursuing the infinite wonders of an ancient board game called 'Go'.
Visitors are always welcome. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, and our members are always ready to welcome newcomers and help beginners.
If you are new to the game, please come visit us on a Beginners' Night (first Tuesday of every month). You can also learn the basic rules and history of Go on the What is Go? page.
For more information and ways to contact other club members, please see Club Meetings page.
The club maintains a library of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and English-language Go books and journals. We sponsor four tournaments a year and from time to time offer courses at all levels, including beginner. Currently, we are offering a series of lessons by a professional Go player from China every other Sunday.
Reduced membership fees are available to beginners, students, seniors, the unemployed, first-time members and those living outside route 495. Membership forms with fee schedules are available at the club or online at Membership form.
MGA is a chapter of the official Go organization in the United States - American Go Association. AGA site contains many resources, list of other chapters, books, on-line play, etc.
